Welcome To Combat Zone's Mechwarrior 3

CZ endeavors to provide a ladder-based ranking system that is enjoyable, intuitive, and user-friendly. The rules and scoring system are as 'natural' to the game as possible ( for example: the closer the match is in points, the closer the score that CZ awards the players). The 'bidding' system ensures that both sides can easily negotiate a fair and balanced match. The MOD (Match Of the Day) provides a fun, different scenario that awards extra points when played.

If you are not yet a member of the CZ league please use the [New Account] link at top of page to register yourself individually. After you confirm your registration by email you can use the [My Account] link to change your callsign and info. If you are a member of a unit here already you can use the [Units] menu to [Petition to Join Unit] and any officer of your new unit can accept your petition. If you are starting a new unit then select [Request a New Unit].

We hope you enjoy your time here in the Combat Zone.

Special Player Configuration

Starting immediately, we will try something new to enhance the scoring for the more courageous players. I call it Special Player Config. This is a test program that we will try till at least the end of this cycle. If it works out good then maybe it will be implemented permanently. If you play a game that is 2 vs 1, 3 vs 2, or 4 vs 3, you will get extra points for that battle. If you play a game that is 3 vs 1, 4 vs 2, or 5 vs 3 you will get even more points for those battles. These are the only special configurations that will be allowed. ALSO, THE DISADVANTAGED TEAM or PLAYER MUST WIN IN ORDER FOR YOU TO CLICK THIS BUTTON. IF THE TEAM THAT HAS THE MORE PLAYERS WIN, then they CANNOT click this button. You cannot use this configuration for ROLE PLAY GAMES, only regular bid games!!!

MW3 Rooms

Hailz All Warriors,

True to their word, the zone has dropped MW3. There has been some controversy over where to battle. Wolverine has made a switcher that allows the MW4 rooms to accomodate MW3 play. Some pilots are skeptical about using it. Ethical issues pose some grave concerns. Those who have tried it say it does work.

Although the zone has dropped MW3 from their options, the rooms still exist, only the link to access them is gone. This is a direct link to gain entry into the MW3 rooms. This link will work until such time as the zone completely removes the rooms.

Ice HighWay Is Being Added To The Bidable Maps
Starting At Cycle Reset On Thursday Dec 30th
With Ice Highway being new to the CZ NUA bid there will need to be time for all warriors to install it. If it should happen that Ice Highway is bid and a player/players do not have the map he will be given a chance to install the map without any penalties being imposed.
I Hope you all enjoy and use the addition of this map to CZ NUA.

1V1 Time Battle Option

Combat Zone Rulez Change

In order to prevent very long games for a 1v1 there is now a pre-bid option of asking for a 5-20 kill/20 minute battle or a 5-20kill/30 minute battle. If the option is accepted by the opponents, then bid continues as normal. Game settings (In Mech Lab) will reflect the kill numbers bid and the time limit accepted. At the end of the game the score reported will be the actual points attained by each player regardless of the kills bid. 1v1 games are still limited to 20k and any 1v1 games reported over this score will be voided.

The Combat Zone management staff are currently looking for suggestions for new leagues to host at the Combat Zone.

Revised Battle Reporting Page

I have revised the Battle Report Page. I deleted unnecessary clutter that is never used anymore. One is the Stock Option On or Off. Since stock isnt a special mod anymore we do not need this option. Same with Radar and Infinite Jump Jets. Those have also been removed since we do not use them.

The new addition is now the Mod of the Week. Instead of it being automatic you will now have to click it whenever you play the Mod of the Week.

I have also removed mechs that are never used and maps that are never used. This should make for an easier and quicker reporting for your battle reports.
